Better compliance starts with knowing where your data is and what is missing.

Prepare for regulation with better data, visibility and control.

Prepare for regulation with better data, visibility and control.

How can fashion businesses prepare for changing regulation and compliance requirements? Better product, supplier and sustainability data can help fashion businesses understand their exposure, improve reporting and prepare for requirements such as Digital Product Passports, EPR and wider ESG disclosure. Regulatory and compliance solutions support areas including supply chain traceability, textile legislation, certification management, product-level data, ESG reporting and cross-border compliance. They can help replace fragmented records with more structured information, making it easier to verify suppliers, manage evidence and respond to changing requirements. The practical value is not simply compliance. Better data can reduce reporting workload, identify risks earlier and give teams greater confidence in sourcing, product and supplier decisions.

The challenge

As Rat & Boa expanded globally, supplier data, factory audits, certifications, wage information and sustainability records were fragmented across different systems. This made supply chain reporting and compliance management harder and limited visibility beyond direct suppliers. The brand also needed to begin structuring the supplier, material and certification data required for upcoming EU Digital Product Passport requirements.

The solution

A supply chain traceability and compliance platform was introduced to centralise supplier information, audits, certifications, wage data, emissions and material traceability. Manufacturing partners were onboarded into a shared reporting process, giving internal teams access to more current supplier information. Product and supplier data was also structured into QR-linked Digital Product Passports, with an initial rollout beginning for AW25 collections and wider coverage planned.

Practical value

Rat & Boa achieved up to 80% supply chain visibility across tiers 1–3, with 60% of suppliers certification verified. The business also documented a 7.9% increase in average factory wages across its supplier network alongside stronger supplier engagement and more transparent reporting.

The centralised approach improved access to compliance information and supported faster data-sharing and reporting workflows. Digital Product Passport implementation began with AW25, with expansion planned for future collections.

The broader lesson is that DPP and compliance readiness depend on building reliable supplier and product data foundations before reporting becomes mandatory.
